The SavVATS metal products plant uses the HW.HHX-1500 line — full-cycle equipment for the production of welded I-beams. The machine performs three main operations in an automated mode:
- profile assembly,
- welding,
- geometry correction.
The work cycle is organized according to the principle of reverse feed: after primary welding, the T-profile is tilted by a crane by 180° and returned to the input roller conveyor to complete assembly and welding into a full-fledged I-beam. The welded I-beam is manufactured using powerful automatic machines and fluxes that contribute to obtaining a high-quality, durable weld. After the beam is manufactured, the mushroom shape of the shelves is corrected so that the geometry and dimensions of the I-beam are accurate.
Technical advantages of the line:
- Adjustment of the beam speed via a programmable logic controller (PLC), which allows you to control the quality of the weld in real time;
- The minimum number of transitions between stages — reducing errors, saving time;
- Submerged arc welding — stable quality of seams even over long lengths;
Continuous seam - up to 15 m;
- 100% metal penetration - up to 10 mm thick.
Additional operations:
- Shot blast cleaning of the surface before coating;
- Painting or application of an anti-corrosion layer according to the customer's specifications;
- Quality report — upon request.
