SAVVATS Plant Helps Animals

On August 25, 2025, the SAVVATS Metal Structures and Metal Products Plant did a good deed — we delivered about 5 tons of metal pipes and bent profiles to an animal shelter in Irpen with our own truck. This cargo became a gift for the public organization "Zoopatrul Ukraine", which since 2022 has been engaged in the rescue, treatment and placement of animals affected by war and human cruelty.

Today, the shelter is home to about 400 dogs and 200 cats. These are animals rescued from the Kyiv region, as well as de-occupied regions (Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson regions), as well as combat zones. Each of these tailed animals has its own difficult story, but they all got a chance for a new life thanks to caring people.

The assistance provided is targeted: the metal products will be used to build canopies for new enclosures, arrange a walking area, ceilings for a cat house and a new warehouse. This will make the life of animals in the shelter more comfortable.

Opinion of shelter workers

The shelter volunteers are convinced: the main reason for animal homelessness is human irresponsibility.

Often, owners do not sterilize their cats and dogs due to lack of funds or the belief that it is “unnatural”. This is how unwanted puppies and kittens are born. Some, at best, are tried to be adopted, but often the babies are thrown out, left to their fate, and sometimes even taken away.

Those who survive join the ranks of homeless animals, and the problem is only growing.

That is why the shelter periodically holds free programs to sterilize dogs and cats in order to at least slightly improve this situation. Volunteers emphasize: sterilization is a manifestation of responsibility, not cruelty.
